Shahzad A. Chaudhry accompanied by the Deputy High Commissioner
Mr. Mohamed Ajeaz visited the Chamber on 12th December 2006. |

Usually,
the Chamber officials pay courtesy calls to High Commissioners
and Ambassadors who are newly appointed and the visit of H.
E. Shahzad Chaudhry to CNCI is considered to be an honour
and recognition made to the leading industrial chamber in
the country. |

The
discussion, which was lasted, for nearly 1-½ hours
covered many aspects on bilateral trade, investments, etc.
but was mainly focused on the recent Free Trade Agreement
signed between Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Mr. A. K. Ratnarajah,
Chairman inquired the possibility of setting up Sri Lankan
industries in Pakistan and the benefits the investors may
accrue. Since the discussion it has now been proposed for
a delegation of CNCI members to visit Pakistan during March
2007. |

E. The High Commissioner agreed to provide all assistance
to the CNCI delegation to visit important cities and industrial
establishments of our choice. CNCI invites it’s members
