The Ceylon National Chamber of Industries commenced in the year 1960 at a time the industrialists were small timers compared with some of the giants who operate today. They had to pit their wits against big trading organizations, as industry in Sri Lanka during that era was viewed with a condescending attitude.

CNCI 48TH Annual General Meeting Business and Ceremonial Session

The 48th Annual General Meeting was held on Friday 14th August 2009 at the Longdon Room of Hotel Taj Sanudra, Galle Face, Colombo 3 at 5.30 pm.  The newly nominated members for the CNCI Executive Council for the year 2009/2010 the Office Bearers and the Management Committee members were appointed during the AGM.  A large gathering of the Chamber members were present at the function.  Mr Newton Wickramasuriya the present Chairman was reelected as the Chairman for the 2nd consecutive year.

 
   
 
   
 

The CNCI Achievers Awards 2009 forIndustrial & Service Excellence Official Launch

The Official Launch and the press conference of the “CNCI Achievers Awards” 2009 was held on Wednesday 28th May 2009 at the Amethyst Room, Hotel Colombo Hilton.  In the presence of a distinguish gathering from the corporate Industrial/manufacturing and service Sector Business Enterprises.  The Chief Guest at the Colourfull function  was Mrs Leisha de Silva Chandrasena, the Chairperson of Sri Lanka Telecom PLC, the leader of Sri Lankan Telecommunication Sector, as the Principal Sponsor for the Achiever Awards 2009.  These prestigious Awards presentation was organized by the premier Industries Chamber in the Country, The Ceylon National Chamber of Industries (CNCI), for the 8th consecutive year.

The official Principal Sponsorship Symbol was handed over to the Chairman of the Achievers Organizing Committee 2009 Mr Sunil Liyanage, by Mrs Leisha de Silva Chandrasena, the Chairperson of Sri Lanka Telecom PLC
