The Ceylon National Chamber of Industries declared open its
Library and Resource Centre at Apt. 20, 1st Floor, Galle Face
Court 02, Colombo 03 on 12th July 2006. The project was assisted
by The Competitiveness Program (TCP) of USAID Sri Lanka.
The new Library and Resource Centre of CNCI provide reference
as well as limited lending facilities on varied subjects mainly
related to Industry and Business. The titles range from Management,
Labour, law, Taxation, Human Resources, Leadership to Social
etiquette, Public Speaking, Biographies of famous personalities
etc etc. It also provides facilities for Internet browsing;
view DVD/CDs on Trade Inquiries, Trade Fairs, Joint Venture
opportunities etc.
Membership is open to all CNCI members, USAID officials and
officials of other Chambers. Membership for General Public
will be considered on a discretionary basis at a fee. Library
opening hours are from 10.,00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
Chairman and members of CNCI extends their sincere appreciation
to Dr. Becker of USAID, Mr. John Varley and Mr. Alex Ponweera
and other officers of TCP for the kind gesture in assisting
CNCI to set up this Library.
