Mr. Gamini S. Marambe – Vice Chairman
   
An old boy of Nalanda College, Colombo Mr. Gamini Shanthilal Marambe started his career as a Cost Trainee in State Engineering Corporation in 1975. After completing the training he joined Port (Cargo) Corporation to gain experience in Costing of Cargo Operations. Going up a further step in his career Mr. Marambe became an Assistant Cost Accountant in Government owned business undertaking of CEATO, an organisation dealing with automobile engineering, ferrous and non ferrous castings and steel fabrications.

In 1980, he joined Packwell Lanka Ltd as an Accountant where he spent two decades of his career in Packaging Industry Packwell Lanka Ltd promoted him as the Assistant General Manager (Finance & Administration) in 1988 and 1n 1993 he was elevated to the post of General Manger. In 1997 he was appointed as a Director of the Company. Mr. Marambe functioned as the Director of Vision Packaging (Pvt) Ltd, a subsidiary of Packwell Lanka Ltd from 1997 to October 2004. After serving more than two decades in Packwell Lanka Ltd, he joined Midaya Packaging Industries (Pvt) Ltd in 2004 as the Director/Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Marambe posses over 25 years of experience at senior management level, which covers the areas of Finance, Human Resources, Sales & Marketing, Production & Maintenance and Imports & Exports in the packaging industry.

He was elected a member of the Executive Council of the Ceylon National Chamber of Industries in 1997 and became the Hony. Treasurer in year 2002. Currently Mr. Marambe serves the CNCI Management Committe as a Vice Chairman.

Mr. Marambe holds office in many other associations. He is a Vice President of Sri Lanka Institute of Packaging and Treasurer of Asian Packaging Federation, Japan Sri Lanka Technical & Cultural Association and Japanese Language Education Association. He also functions as the Director of Ingrin Institute of Printing & Graphics and as a Member of Sectoral Committee for paper and board at Sri Lanka Standards Institute.
