CNCI- ACHIEVER AWARDS 2010
FOR INDUSTRIAL & SERVICE EXCELLENCE

This grand event has been organized by our Chamber CNCI for the 9th consecutive year in Sri Lanka, which has been earmarked as a bench mark of Industrial and Manufacturing Excellence.
It is a unique event where the Ceylon National Chamber of Industries, the premier Industrial Chamber in the country provides an opportunity for the entrepreneurs in the Industrial & Manufacturing Sector of Sri Lanka to vie for honours for their achievement in the field of Industry both manufacturing and service sector.
This prestigious event is unique because an event of this magnitude is staged only by the Ceylon National Chamber of Industries (CNCI), and it extends the competition to the SAARC Regional countries as well.
The participation is open to any sole proprietorship, partnership or limited liability company engaged in a manufacturing or specified service activity for at least three consecutive financial years ending either 31 March 2009 or 31 December 2009 in Sri Lanka or any Sri Lankan Industry operating in SAARC regional countries.
A special SAARC regional countries award also will be presented to an outstanding industry/ business ,which has achieved industrial excellence nominated by the respective Chambers of the SAARC countries which includes India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Maldives.
Objective
 
The objective of the event is to promote industrial growth in the country by recognizing those entrepreneurs especially those who have excelled in the industrial sector and to enhance the quality standards, productivity, employee benefits, labour relations, etc.
As the evaluation is made on a detailed criteria encompassing the productivity standards, quality control ,employee benefits and relationship, respect for the environment , statutory obligations and social responsibility, it is the view of our Chamber that by encouraging large participation annually in this “Achiever” contest, more and more companies in the industrial sector would be able to raise their quality standards in every respect.
Evaluation / Judging
 
Evaluation of application will be by an independent panel of judges appointed by the Chamber and would comprise of eminent personalities representing the private and public sector.
Awards Criteria
 
Winners are selected in five categories viz: Extra Large,Large, Medium, Small and Micro, and the participants could vie for honours at provincial level as well as National Level.
Each category will be awarded Gold, Silver, Bronze trophies and two merit plaques. This year too it is envisaged to offer Crystal awards for those companies who have achieved gold award for 3 consecutive years.

  The Achievers Awards are granted by the Judging Panel after careful evaluation of the following criteria;

* Net Sales Revenue
* Value Addition
* Productivity
* Employment Statistics
* Cost of incentives to Employees
* Statutory and other responsibilities
* Corporate Plan
* Research and Development
* Quality Assurance and Certification
* Environmental Responsibilities
* Social Responsibilities
* Industrial and occupational Health & Safety
