The Ceylon National Chamber of Industries (CNCI) the premier Industries Chamber in Sri Lanka organized the Official Launch and the Press Conference followed with Cocktail on last 26th April 2010 at the Prestigious Hotel Taj Samudra . The CNCI Achievers Awards will be held for the 9th consecutive year in Sri Lanka .

The Chief guest of the Occasion was Madam Leisha de Silva Chandrasena , the Chairperson of Sri Lanka Telecom PLC. The Principal Sponsor of the Achievers awards 2010 is also the Sri Lanka Telecom PLC. who will be sponsoring this grand event for the 5th consecutive year. Among the distinguished invitees were the General Manager / CEO of the Bank of Ceylon Mr B A C Fernando, The Deputy Chairman of the Ceylinco VIP Insurance Mr Ajith R Gunawardane, The Managing Director / CEO of Central Industries and the current Chairman of the CNCI Mr Newton Wickramasuriya, Mr Waruna Malawarachchi the senior Corporate relations manager of the Associated Newpapers of Ceylon (ANCL), The General manager of the Signtech advertising ( Pvt ) Ltd, Mrs Nimalka Piyadasa.

The Deputy Chairman of the CNCI Mr Sunil Liyanage , Vice chairman and the Chairman of the Achievers Organising Committee Mr Gamini Marmabe , The Chairman of the Judging Committee Mr Nimal Perera and the Secretary General / CEO of the CNCI Mr Kumara Kandalama was among the distinguish invitees at the Head table.

The unveiling of the Trophy and the presenting of the Official Principal Sponsorship was performed by the Chief Guest madam Leisha De Silva Chandrasena . The Special feature at the event was the presentations given by the year 2009 Crystal and gold Winners of the CNCI Achievers Awards.

The CNCI Achievers awards for Industrial & Service excellence has been earmarked as a Bench mark of Industrial Excellence, which provides national and International recognition for Best achievements. All Sri Lankan Industrial / manufacturing and service sector Companies as well as the Sri Lankan Operations in the SAARC Countries, including India / Pakistan / Nepal / Bhutan / Bangladesh and Maldive Islands can apply for these awards.
