The CNCI Achiever Awards 2011
For Industrial and Service Excellence
The prestigious CNCI Achiever Awards 2011 for Industrial and Service Excellence was conducted by The Ceylon Nation Chamber of Industries CNC for the 10th consecutive year. The 10th year award presentation was held with all fanfare and colour at the Oak Room, Hotel Cinnamon Grand on 30th August 2011. The Grand Award presentation was attended by more than six hundred representatives from the Sri Lankan corporate sector of Industry and Manufacturing, which included winners and well wishers plus the renowned Blue Chip Company heads of the Sri Lankan Industrial Enterprises. Mr Ajith Nivard Cabraal, the Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka was the Chief Guest and the CEO of Sri Lanka Telecom PLC. Mr Greg Young the Principal Sponsor of the Achiever Awards 2011 was the special Guest of Honour at the Event. The Deputy Chairman of the Chamber CNCI Mr Preethi Jayawardena delivered the welcome speech., who was also the Chairman of the Achiever steering committee 2011.
The Sri Lankan industrial enterprises under Extra large/ Large/ Medium/ Small and micro categories received Gold/ Silver/ Bronze and Merit Awards. A unique feature of the 10th year anniversary was the awarding of the “CNCI TOP 10 AWARDS” to the most deserving Extra Large corporate sector Ten Companies, for their overall operational excellence.
Further the specialty of Achiever Awards was that all SAARC Countries too were eligible for awards. As such the industrial enterprises representing Pakistan, India, and Maldives were awarded with Gold Trophies.
