45TH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Ceremonial Sessions
Ceremonial session of 45th Annual General Meeting of the
Ceylon National Chamber of Industries was successfully concluded
on 24th November 2006 at Earl’s Court, Trans Asia
Hotel, Colombo under the patronage of Mr. Ajith Nivard Cabraal,
Governor of Central Bank of Sri Lanka. The Guest of Honour
was Dr. Naoko Ishii, Country Director of World Bank. Ceremony
attended by over 150 guests, included Foreign Diplomats,
Heads of Leading Companies, Banks, Government Officials
and Guests.

Business
Sessions
Business Sessions of the 45th Annual General
Meeting was successfully concluded at Gregory’s Room,
Hotel Taj Samudra on 29th August 2006. At this meeting Mr.
A. K. Ratnarajah was elected as the new Chairman for the fiscal
year 2006/2007. Mr. Newton Wickramasuriya was elected as the
Deputy Chairman and Mr. Sunil Liyanage as the Senior Vice
Chairman. Mr. Preethi Jayawardena, Mr. Gamini Marambe, Mr.
Gamini Gunasekara and Mr. Tissa Seneviratne were elected as
three Vice Chairmen and Hony. Treasurer respectively.
For the Executive Council 40 members were
elected. Apart from Chairman and Deputy Chairman, Mr. K.C.
Vignarajah, Mr. Asoka de Z. Gunasekera, Mr. Ranjith Hettiarachchy
and Mr. Nimal Perera were reappointed to the Advisory Council
considering their continuous contribution for the progress
of the Chamber.
Mr. Nihal Abeysekera, Mr. Kulatunga Rajapakse
and Mr. Nimal Samarakkody were reelected as Trustees and Mr.
Nihal Abyesekara and Mr. K. C. Vignarajah were elected as
Patrons.
M/s. Rajadurai & Company the auditors
of CNCI for the Past several years was reappointed as Auditors
for the fiscal year 2006/2007.
Ceremonial Sessions of the 45th Annual General
Meeting is scheduled to be held on 24th November 2006 at Trans
Asia Hotel and CNCI warmly welcome it’s membership to
participate at this occasion. |
