The Ceylon National Chamber of Industries commenced in the year 1960 at a time the industrialists were small timers compared with some of the giants who operate today. They had to pit their wits against bid trading organizations, as industry in Sri Lanka during that era was viewed with a condescending attitude.

CNCI 46th Annual General Meeting

Business Session

Business session of the 46th AGM is scheduled to take place on the 31st August 2007 at 5.30 p.m. at the Longdon room Taj Samudra Hotel, Colombo. Vacancies in the executive council will be filled on this day for the fiscal year 2007- 2008. A circular has already been sent to the members to express their desire to serve in the executive council.

However the number of vacancies will be limited.

The dress code for the event will be office attire.

Ceremonial Sessions

The ceremonial sessions, which is also the annual get together of the chamber, members and their families are scheduled to be held on 30th November 2007.

The details of this event will be announced shortly.

CNCI 7TH ACHIEVER OF INDUSTRIAL EXCELLENCE AWARDS – 2008


The Ceylon National Chamber of Industries (CNCI), the premier Industrial Chamber in the country continues to recognize and reward excellence in the country’s Industrial Entrepreneurship in both manufacturing and service sectors and conduct CNCI Achiever Awards for the 7th consecutive year.  The Awards presentation is due to take place on 16th July 2008 at the Grand Ballroom, Hilton Hotel, Colombo.
 

We are the premier Industrial Chamber in Sri Lanka having the majority of frontline industrialists in Sri Lanka in our membership representing the large medium and small companies.
Our main objective is to promote industrial growth, co-operate and co-ordinate with the Government in the attainment of same, by contributing in a significant manner, promoting and fostering an environment conductive to carry out industrial activity.

At the 46th Annual General Meeting held  on Friday, 31st August, 2007 the following resolution was adopted for the year 2008/2009 for membership fees which will read as follows;

• The Annual Membership Subscription  was revised to Rs. 15,000/- + VAT
New Member Enrolment Fee was also revised to Rs. 10,000/- + VAT

  This new membership fees will come into effect from 1st April, 2008
